Uncommonly Used Filipino Words We all know that now a days a lot of Pilipino are learning different language like English Language, Korean Language and itc. but even though we know and learn that different language we also have to learn our own language specially the uncommonly used words like Nakakapagpabagabag, Iwinawagayway, Dagibalniing Liboy, Pinagpimamagaspasan, and Nagsisiusyosuhan. Our reflection in this video is there’s a lot of filipino words that is uncommonly used and a lot of Pilipino did not know and used this words. In this case we can prove that filipino language is not just a simple language. As a Pilipino we have to learn our own language deeply.

1.Nakakapagpabagabag- Worrisome

                                          -causing distress or worry or anxiety.

                          ex:   “distressing (or disturbing) news”; “lived in heroic if something distressful isolation”; “a disturbing amount of crime”; “a revelation that was most perturbing”; “a new and troubling thought”; “in a particularly worrisome predicament”; “a worrying situation”; “a worrying time”.

2. Pinagpinamamagaspasan- dusty place

                                             -covered or abounding with dust

                         ex:       If places, roads, or other things outside aredusty, they are covered with tiny bits of earth or sand, usually because it has not rained for a long time. They started strolling down the dusty road in the moonlight.

3. Iwinawagayway- waving

                                  -move one’s hand to and fro in greeting or as a signal.

                  ex:     Joan interrupted, waving a tablet over her head. He’ll probably be pissed at me, so don’t get comfortable, Dan said, waving her in. She spotted him waving to her from the boardwalk outside the saloon.

4. Nagsisiusyosohan- talking or sharing

               ex:    nagsisiusyosohan sila tungkol sa nangyaring eksena kaninang umaga.

5. Dagibalniing liboy- Electromagnetic wave

                                    – One of the waves that are propagated by simultaneous periodic variations of electric and magnetic field intensity and that include radio wavws, infrared, visible light, ultraviolet, X-rays, and gamma rays.

             ex:   Pinag-aralan namin ang dagibalniing liboy sa asignaturang agham.

6. Sulatroniko

                       -It is a messages distributed by electronic means from one computer user to one or more recipients via a network.

            ex:      Ipinadala ko na ang sulatroniko ko kay Angela.

7. Kansunsilyo

                            – Boxer shorts are a type of undergarment typically worn by men.

               ex:     Ginamit na ni Andrei ang bagong biniling kansunsilyo sakanya ng kanyang tiya.

8. Anluwage

                 – It is a person who makes and repairs wooden objects and structures.

          ex:     Ihanap moko ng anluwageng kayang gumawa ng upuan para sa sala.

9. Sipnayan

                      -it is the abstract science of number, quantity, and space.

        ex:      Hindi mahirap aralin ang Sipnayan kapag nakikinig ka sa turo ng iyong titser.

10. Pulot-gata

                    – It is the traditional holiday taken by newlyweds to celebrate their marriage in intimacy and seclusion.

       ex:     Pagtapos nilang ikasal ay lumipad sila papuntang Greece para sa kanilang pulot-gata.
